About

This blog is for chronicling the progression of my skill in the Japanese language. I started serious Japanese study on February 18th 2009 and have studied everyday since. My ultimate goal is near-native level fluency.

I’m using the 10,000 sentences method of learning a foreign language. Basically, you add sentences to a Spaced Repetition System program and keep adding and doing reviews at scheduled intervals until you reach 10,000 sentences. By this point, you should have enough vocabulary and grammar known by heart to be considered fluent.
